Greetings!
Happy spring. The redbuds are blooming here in NC, along with a whole bunch of flowers. Around my yard, lettuce, spinach, beet greens, kale, broccoli, purple mustard greens, hellebores, pansies, tulips, and columbines are all shining in the sun on this beautiful afternoon.
I have some gigs coming up to remind you about, and some very exciting news. Ta DAAAAAAAAAAAA! My new website is live. I feel like I have been deep sea diving for days on end, and there is plenty more to do, but I am so pleased to be this far. A few of you have known me since I could barely figure out how to turn a computer on or off. You know how far I’ve come. Just like it is with playing music- the better I get the funner it gets! Although I can’t say this process has been nothing but fun, the results are sure gonna up my fun level. I’m so excited that my website is now a place where we can talk to each other, and where it is easy to share anything you find there to your social networks or by email. How fun is that?
I’d love for you to visit the site and leave a comment, via facebook or by the website comments system. Both options are at the bottom of thees pages: Mystery Page tells the story of our name; The press and fan quote page comment section will serve as our guest book; and you can check out my first blog post (it’s short and sweet). I will be archiving my youtube tours in my blog section, and posting all kinds of other fun, from photo albums of my garden, my creek trail, gigs, and more to videos and whatever other cool stuff I think you might enjoy.
Upcoming gigs-
John Worthington, Calvin Johnson and I will be rockin’ The Blue Note Grill this Thursday with our special sauce of country, rockabilly, boogie, r&b and swing for your weeknight dancin pleasure. Working people’s hours (7-9). Let our friends cook and clean up while you get enough exercise and fun to sail through your Friday.
I’ll be back in the triangle on April 15th, at The City Tap in Pittsboro, NC, with Tim Shearer on guitar and Colby Jack on upright, we will bring the classic country back to Prissy Polly’s BBQ in Kernersville on the 21st, and then rock the dance floor up in Danbury at the Green Heron Alehouse on April 30th. You can get more details and the rest of the schedule on my website calendar page.
I am looking forward to seeing and/or hearing from you. Here are the links again for where you can leave comments: Mystery Page; Guest Book; Blog post.
Thanks, as always, for keeping up with me, and for supporting live music! I so appreciate you. -Michelle
