Our Mission
The Mission of Minglewood Farm and Nature Preserve is to connect students of all ages to the natural world and inspire a sense of environmental stewardship through place-based learning in the Piedmont and Foothills of North Carolina.
Our Vision
By focusing on education and hands-on learning, we will cultivate lifelong environmental engagement with a focus on balancing nature’s systems and human needs for future generations.
What We Do
Minglewood is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on teaching sustainable food production and environmental stewardship to people of all ages. Minglewood has grown pesticide-free produce and flowers for more than 30 years and offers programming on the Preserve, in the classroom, in local green spaces and through virtual education. Our 65 acre ‘outdoor classroom’ traverses creeks, meadows, ponds and forests; promoting a sense of place and deeper understanding of our local environment. Our goal is to inspire care for our local food systems and native ecology.
