The Mystery Hillbillies will bring their usual infectious mix of rockabilly, country, boogie and blues to the outpost at Dodsons Crossroads. We love the Kraken.
For those who have not experienced the mystery of these hillbillies, you’re in for some Patsy, Hank, Elvis and Emmylou, alongside some Chuck Berry, Wanda Jackson and Brenda Lee. Bring your dancing shoes. They will kick off around 10.
Opening the show is local glass artist and unlikely named blues man, Dmitri Resnik. Dmitri will bring a couple friends and rock the house with a set of what he calls Louisiana Roots. It’s mostly straight ahead blues and swing but he also throws in a Mambo, Cajun, rock and even Country if the situation calls for it. He covers stuff from Fats Domino, Professor Longhair to Kris Kristofferson, Delbert McClinton and others. And he’s been known to bring out some of the best sidemen the triangle has to offer.
So come early, stay late, and kick up your heels.
